Wonder who they're going to fight for the Aug/Sept date probably Adama/Mora level guy. Doesn't seem like we'll see Golovkin face the Geale/Barker winner this year.
Murray is no coward but I think he will definitely think twice.
He was in the studio for the Macklin fight and both him and Barker adknowledge the danger of fighting Golovkin.
I think he'll take the fight though.
The UK MW's can take these risks because if all else fails, they can fight each other for decent money.Last edited by Mikhnienko; 07-03-2013, 01:02 PM.Comment

Barker didn't seem keen on the fight at all but significantly Murray never ruled it out. He did say however, that anyone fighting GGG will request a sizeable payday.Comment

Golovkin makes offer to Martin Murray for November 2 in the US
According to sources in Russia, WBA middleweight champion Gennady Golovkin (27-0) has made an offer to St. Helen's world title challenger Martin Murray (25-1-1) to fight on November 2 in New York.
Golovkin's manager Oleg Hermann said: "As a next opponent, Gennady wants Murray.
"We have already made an offer to Martin. The only problem is his unresolved issues with a US visa. If he will deal with this and would be willing to meet with Gennady, we are happy."

It is understood that the fight date had been agreed with US broadcasters HBO.
Murray, 30, lost a contentious points decision to Sergio Martinez in Argentina back in April - the only defeat of his career, while Golovkin's murderous punching power halted Brit Matthew Macklin's challenge in the third round on the weekend.

Yeah, they asked him how he would go about beating Golovkin and he said something like 'take a baseball bat in with him'.
Barker didn't seem keen on the fight at all but significantly Murray never ruled it out. He did say however, that anyone fighting GGG will request a sizeable payday.
They should just have him on HBO every 8 weeks, it's unbeatable **** for their buckComment

I like Martin Murray and he really should be the unified champ as he beat Sergio IMO as well as Sturm. But I could see him being good boy'd by GGG. Martin has a great high guard but takes a few shots to get his off Winky style. Against a monstrous puncher like GGG this is a silly idea.
If I was murray I'd jump at the chance for a GGG fight. all the champs know that Murray is a tough tough fight so will avoid him like the plague. a win against GGG would give him a belt and a chance for some big money fights.Comment
