Wonder who they're going to fight for the Aug/Sept date probably Adama/Mora level guy. Doesn't seem like we'll see Golovkin face the Geale/Barker winner this year.

I think he'll take the fight though.

The UK MW's can take these risks because if all else fails, they can fight each other for decent money.
Didn't Murray joke that he would need to bring a baseball bat into the ring if he were to fight Golovkin.

Yeah, they asked him how he would go about beating Golovkin and he said something like 'take a baseball bat in with him'.

Barker didn't seem keen on the fight at all but significantly Murray never ruled it out. He did say however, that anyone fighting GGG will request a sizeable payday.

Very good fight! I was impressed with Murray during the Martinez fight!

According to sources in Russia, WBA middleweight champion Gennady Golovkin (27-0) has made an offer to St. Helen's world title challenger Martin Murray (25-1-1) to fight on November 2 in New York.

Golovkin's manager Oleg Hermann said: "As a next opponent, Gennady wants Murray.

"We have already made an offer to Martin. The only problem is his unresolved issues with a US visa. If he will deal with this and would be willing to meet with Gennady, we are happy."

It is understood that the fight date had been agreed with US broadcasters HBO.

Murray, 30, lost a contentious points decision to Sergio Martinez in Argentina back in April - the only defeat of his career, while Golovkin's murderous punching power halted Brit Matthew Macklin's challenge in the third round on the weekend.
Great fight!!!! This needs to happen. What a fight! What a year! Floyd vs Canelo, Manny vs Bam Bam, and GGG vs Murray?

            WARGGGGGG!

Another cool thing about GGG is that he's fine with purse parity with his challengers!

They should just have him on HBO every 8 weeks, it's unbeatable **** for their buck

I'm hoping to see it, but Murray did not seem too keen on the idea from the interview I saw.

That's why macklin got the same purse as golovkin. Nobodies gonna fight him unless they get paid really well. And golovkin seems ok with that which is rare

I like Martin Murray and he really should be the unified champ as he beat Sergio IMO as well as Sturm. But I could see him being good boy'd by GGG. Martin has a great high guard but takes a few shots to get his off Winky style. Against a monstrous puncher like GGG this is a silly idea.

If I was murray I'd jump at the chance for a GGG fight. all the champs know that Murray is a tough tough fight so will avoid him like the plague. a win against GGG would give him a belt and a chance for some big money fights.
