Danny Garcia Next Fight Should Be In Puerto Rico

The Morales rematch and Judah fight were market expanding/strengthening fights for Garcia, but GBP chose to have those take place in New York...
Trying to get a Spanish speaking country to a fighter that doesn't speak Spanish is a tough proposition. Marketing him to the Northeastern region of the uS is a safer bet.
The time for making decisions based on marketing strategies is on pause now. He has to pass another test before they can think about that.Comment

Even if Danny spoke super fluent Spanish he would still be marketed to headline in New York. Just like Tito and Cotto. The Morales rematch and Judah fight were market expanding/strengthening fights for Garcia, but GBP chose to have those take place in New York...

No his next fight should be in Philly. Unfortunately no one in Philly has any idea who Garcia is because Golden Boy is pathetic at building popularity of fighters.
I seriously ****in hate Golden BoyComment

Not before establishing him in Puerto Rico...
Tito and Cotto became attractions in NY after they had been established there not vice versa. That would've been hustling backwards.Comment

Trust me, there is no money to be made in Philly...especially for a PR fighter who has only about a quarter of North Philly rooting for him...if that.Comment

Their American born, of course they have American pride.
Sorry but nobody is going to Philly to see a fight. Where in NYC, people from Philly, New Jersey, Delaware will travel here for a great night of boxing and partying.
I see what u mean but the goal is to headline in New York and that's what Danny is doing. A fight in pr wound be great but it's not a must. It's like Ortiz, Rios, their American born n a fight in Mexico isn't a must if they are headlining in the states.
Sad but true.Comment
