Ricky Hatton broke Castillo's ribs with a body punch also.

Actually, the ribs are a funny thing. Ribs can be incredibly resistant or they can be incredibly fragile depending on the angle in which you hit them.

I sparred with a guy about a year ago, hit him with a left hook to the body and fractured his ribs. It wasn't a gigantic break, it was just a small fracture but it was broke. Healing takes forever and it sucks to have that injury because you literally can't breath, sneeze, take a ****....nothing.

It just all depends on the angle you hit the ribs at.

...how about Martin Murray next? Get rid of that pesky mandatory/interim champion.

The fact that he has a boyish face has nothing to do with his power. He seems to have heavy bones combined with a very strong core.

Remember how spectacular bute looked against c level fighters, some of which were clearly better than anyone golovkin has fought. Now I think golovkin has it in him to be a phenomenal fighter, but I'm not as sold as most. I put a down payment on it but I haven't fully bought it.
Incidentally, GGG is the first man to KO Bute.

                  well said!!!

there's NOTHING to dislike about the dude's personality....he comes across as a "good boy" lol....dude just seems cool....he's the hunter in the ring and when he bust off shots, his prey literally react as if they were touched by REAL bullets....that **** is crazy!!!

I wanna see him mix with Chavez Jr....I know Jr. aint gonna fall so fast.....Jr. is like Scarface.....at the end when he was taking shots in his crib...yea, thats Jr....GGG be coming to rock, Jr is known to be a stone(no pun intended) so that's a fight I would love to see....the winner can get King Maravilla

MW torch passing ceremony will be held if any of those 2 get the King in the ring.....I used to think Serg would run the tables on Jr again, but NOW...smh, I think the young bull catches up to him earlier next time around and GGG probably stops him as well atm.....Serg is still my dude and I'd cheer for him in those fights but I think he's slowing down....he's looking like food for the young bulls atm

Raiymkulov broke Floyd's rib back in 2005. Aaron Tiger Wade seperated Sugar Ray Robinson's rib in sparring which postponed the Belloise fight.
