i feel like broner did NOTHING during the first 5-6 rounds. im ok with either guy getting a 115-113 decision or a draw. not an easy fight, and even if broner says it was an easy fight...it sure as hell wasn't an impressive one

Maybe he does but I didn't say whether he knows more about it than me. I said he isn't the highest authority.

This is the same clown who broadcast a baseless rumour about emails from Team Pacquiao. The guy who picked the likes of Calvin Brock and Tony Thompson to beat Wlad simply because he gets erect at the thought of an American HW champ.

But the most important thing is I don't need to use the opinion of another man to convince people about my view on the fight. I know what I saw and it was a Broner win but it was FAR from convincing. I don't need to get my pom poms out and start cheerleading some boxing pundit who may agree with me. You sound like a teenage girl screaming "Atlas said it so it must be true, lolz haterz pwned!". Use your own mind.

Just because someone agrees with him or praises Teddy, like I did a page back, doesn't mean we don't make our own conclusions about the fight on our own. It doesn't make me less knowledgable about boxing if I agree with him, just like it doesn't make him any less knowledgeable than he is because you or someone else knoweldgeable of the sport disagrees with him.

I don't know that "trying to entertain more" are the right words. Let's put it this way:

The fighter who's doing more to make the fight entertaining should definitely receive consideration for that fact. There are four primary areas of entertainment to consider

            Who's pushing the action
            Who's throwing more punches
            Who's landing more punches
            Who's landing more effective punches

The problem is, some boxing purists don't feel that entertainment should be a factor, but it is, and always has been.

Boxing is entertainment. Trying to imagine that it is more than that is just silly.

Do you think millions of people are paying for HBO and Showtime, and PPV, to watch a game of backgammon or chess?

Hell no. They are paying to be entertained. And if they lose interest and stop, so does boxing.

So, yeah, entertainment value is of paramount importance when it comes to scoring a fight, and when it comes to considering the value of a particular fighter.

I wasn't talking to you. The OP certainly sounds less knowledgeable from the original post. Read it. He uses Atlas' view on the fight as if it's some sort of unquestionable fact which validates his opinion and negates everyone else's.

You sound mad and spiteful. Feminine characteristics.

Short and long of it is this Teddy Atlas is more respected in the sport of boxing than you will ever be.

Don't be upset because ATLAS (a more credible source than you) agrees with the minority on NSB that said Broner won the fight easily.

Feminine characteristics? From the guy who's screaming Teddy Atlas' name because he isn't sure enough of his own opinion?

Did you see FNF this past weekend? He said it on that telecast. He also pointed out why. He basically said (what i've said as well) that this is not AMATEUR BOXING.

Pitty Pats do not count. That is like SHADOW-BOXING (like AB wittingly said in the post fight interview)!!

Broner's shots were hard, powerful and had strong effect on his opponent.

What did PM's shots do to Broner?

I am not one who thinks Paulie has an argument for winning, but he deserved 4 or 5 rounds. Broner did not look good, and did not win easily.
Malcolm, brother, so if you have no power you aren't gonna win a fight in your book then. How come you got Pea in your avi??

Paulie landed many and I mean many body shots on Broner. Which were obviously miss counted. Unless body shots no longer count in the sport, then we can say that Broner most definitely did not win easy.

Broner won a close fight OP, it wasn't a blowout like you suggest and he was fortunate to get that kind of decision in the champion's backyard. We've seen it go the other way plenty of times..
