Somebody like Quillin would trade with him or Chavez jr maybe but until then, we won't know for sure.
That's the power telling, that isn't fighting scared. He was in survival mode the first time Golovkin landed something - and Macklin can take a punch.

Eventually Macklin said "f**k it" and went for Golovkin who then just brutally ended him with a body shot.

I honestly thought he was coming in scared. He'd already passed on the fight previously, and was taking a long time to sign despite prodding from HBO and his promoter, who needed him to step up on his own card. HBO probably told Lou to get him onboard and he'll be rewarded with a future date. Did you notice Max saying like "I'm sure we'll see you again Matt" post fight?

Watch the Ouma fight.. Ouma punched him in the mouth and the fight turned into a back and fourth War before a warn-out Ouma gave in to the power.

He will die like all fighters who get punched in the mouth.

I don't think there is anybody at 160 that can beat him though, Quillin has a chance but he'd have to KO him within 7 rounds, after that he'd be too gassed and get KO'd.

I can see what you mean, but if GGGs power is the elite p4p kind of power I think it is, then you may just see him stop nearly every guy who comes at him.

Only fights against higher comp will tell, but if he is a great puncher like Trinidad, Hearns, Foreman, Jackson, Foster etc then he is going to knock out guys who try and walk him down, you can't (or can very very rarely) walk down a true KO puncher.

It was actually Macklin who was landing and throwing most of the punches in the early encounters of R.1.

His gameplan was to stay on the outside, move and box in the early rounds to take Golovkin into the later rounds.

I don't buy that he fought scared, I don't think it's his nature. He's not Andre Dirrell.

Everyone can make a buncha silly predictions but the truth is we don't know. The one fight where I think we'll find out is the froch fight. Will it happen? Hope so

Golovkin doesn't look that big but he has that Bruce Lee type of muscle structure going. I think he and Froch would make for a FOTY for sure....that's the fight that needs to happen. It seems like no one at 160 or below can take his power anyways and he is used to beating up on LHW's, so it should be a fairly even fight.
