No name? Lil G fans were arguing he was a bigger name than Ward and the PPV would sell 500k+, but now he's a no name.

Are you going to claim the Eubank fight as Golovkins gate revenue too?

The reason why it made money at the gate was because it was cheaper to go than watch on PPV.

The only joke is Golovkin and his fans. They're getting excited with him fighting a European level fighter that's never beaten anybody and what's funny is it may actually be one of his best fights.

They should name a hostel after Lil G, he's fought so many bums.
Here's what a joke offer looks like: coming off 300k viewers on BET, you offer 50/50 to a smaller, much more popular guy to move up in weight, with a years commitment, while the other guy is mando for the biggest fight in boxing. That'll get the laughs

How did that turn out for him? A year later he's fighting a Euro level fighter (at best) in Eubank. Golovkin is a joke, you know it's true.

Who was arguing that? More fan friendly style sure. Much cheaper, of course. Brings a belt, great.

No, I'm gonna claim Gggs willingness to travel and take his belts to other guys hometown is yet another reason why he's the biggest star above 154, and could become the face of boxing against all odds

Rubio and Monroe also sold out. How many can sell out arenas on both coasts?

Who are you trying to kid? Face of boxing? The face of boxing that has to travel to fight Eubank in the UK because it brings more money. Delusional Lil G fans at it again.

              Here's how it turned out:

He had 1 belt then, now he has 3. He just gained a ton of notoriety for humiliating boxings biggest star, so is #1 topic in boxing. Now unless Eubank also back out, he's gonna get his career high by far, huge exposure in a lucrative new market, Ppv and sold out arena. Meanwhile a year later Ward got denied a bum by the commission and returned to Hbo vs a Wade type in a lukewarm showing for lukewarm ratings. Stepping down in comp next.

Stepping down to fight a euro level fighter, in Euro level fighters back yard because the Euro level fighter brings the money.

Ward is going to fight a top P4P fighter (something Lil G has never done).

No he has to, because Eubank brings more money in the UK. Face of boxing.

A fight right now he'll get 1.5 million but when ggg becomes a bigger star he'll get like 3 or 4 million for a ppv fight.

It's annoying because he doesn't have enough confidence in himself to build his brand and beat ggg so he's just waiting on that payday. Instead of thinking how much money he's gonna get he should be thinking if he beats ggg he'll become a star himself but to think that he needs to think he'll win the fight which I don't think he does.

This is basically the ww division where everyone is waiting on that Floyd or Pac payday and they don't have the confidence in building their name themselves.

Oh yeah if I were you I would stop arguing with these ggg hater. You might get dumber from some of the ******ity these guys post. Value your health bud!
Haha I'm pretty sure I dropped some IQ points already!

I hear what you're saying, it's essentially "let the fight marinate" logic. I'm not a fan of that myself since too often we've seen good fights that should of happened never happen at all as a result. Jacobs could lose, Golovkin could lose or move on to bigger and better things. It's risky but like you say, Jacobs probably doesn't have the confidence in himself thus the wanting to wait it out. If he had the confidence that Eubank is showing he would be all over it right now. I'm also a firm believer that the moment you get a title and call yourself a world champion, super or regular or whatever the hell else belts they have these days, you're obligated to fight the best in your division. It's a fairly simple standard that we as fans should want to see from all fighters, rather than playing boxing manager and trying to guess what strategy will earn someone the most money. It's annoying but I guess that's the reality of boxing in 2016.
