First, Floyd finds genuine love within his own family and close friends who share in his many accomplishments. That's good enough for him. Second, it's great that a large Mexican boxing fan base supports one of their own rising stars in Canelo. It's only natural.

Floyd has a large fan base from around the world including in Mexico, many who've followed his entire career from the beginning. In fact, Floyd gained many of his opponents' fans after they watched the master in action.

Floyd finds genuine love??? He hates his dad and viceversa. Itīs natural that a country supports his own?? Well, the US citizens are supporting Canelo, and not only the ones from Mexican roots. Floyd has a fan base?? Nope, people want to see him lose. He is an overhyped product of US marketing and people around the world know him because of that. Actually, Mexicans and other fans hate his boring style, nobody likes an ultradefensive phagot who only runs and hugs .

Mexican and Mexican Americans are the foundation, the heart beat of boxing, the backbone that holds this beautiful sport up and if you try to somehow disagree then you're just reaching and being prideful because you know it's true. I know that many other people such as the Puerto Ricans, the Filipinos, the British and the Germans love their boxing as well but it's evident to anyone who the most passionate, most ardent, most devoted boxing fans are and that's the Mexicans.

You don't have to be Mexican to get our support, you just have to be good. We like to see great boxing. Whether it be an amazing counterpuncher, or a murderous puncher, or a fleet footed pure boxer with amazing defense, we just enjoy watching the sweet science and the brutality that takes place in the squared circle.

It's no secret that if you want to be big in boxing, if you want to get your PPV money and start to be followed by boxing fans then you need to get the Mexican fans on your side. We will show up for you at press conferences and root for you louder than anyone else at the fights and we will always always purchase the PPV and throw a party on every Saturday that there is a fight. That's the way my life's always been and that's how I grew up. That's also how almost every other Mexican kid I know grew up as well.

It's kind of weird really because every time a big fight is coming up I always ask everyone if they're watching the big fight on Saturday and all the white people hardly know anything about it, the Filipinos know most of the time and the Ricans also always know for the most part as well, and if Floyd is fighting then all my black homies know too but what makes me feel proud is that almost every single Mexican I ask always says the same thing "were having a carne asada and some beer and the whole family is getting together" We actually use the time of big fights to bond with our families because we make it a party with nothing but people you love, and if you can't find someone who is watching the fight then you either roll to a bar and watch it with your homies or you go to the theatre and catch it there.

It's just the way it's always been. If you're not Mexican then I suggest you get yourself some Mexican friends who love boxing and just roll with them one time to watch a big fight at their house and see if you don't fall in love with the atmosphere. There will be amazing traditional home cooked Mexican food(real Mexican food, not del taco crap) and so much beer and tequila and just a genuine feeling of a good time. You'll probably end up drunk as hell and throwing combinations into the punching bags we all have in our backyards.

You are right but most Latinos are like that, actually is part of our Hispanic culture. Also, depending on what región of Mexico your family is from, itīs how the cooking will be. My roots are waaay in the south, the Yucatán so we have other foods that are a mix of Mexican, Spanish, Mayan, Lebanese and Cuban cuisines.

Unless you're in his house or head you can't really say this bro, seriously. We're on the outside looking in, and from my vantage point I see a very gifted boxer, surrounded by a glut of an entourage and all the while his moral failings are on full display for the world to see. Floyd deserves all of the riches he enjoys because they are borne from his tremendous gifts, but what I think he is denied is ultimate happiness. Karma........

Personally, I'm a fan. I love to see Floyd dispatch his opponents with a skill I think is very rare these days, and he's done it for almost twenty years. However, as a human being I find him somewhat loathsome. I'm not even talking about the media personality that was carefully marketed over the years on 24/7. I'm talking about a man that would lay his hands on a woman. He may have the love of his "family," but does he love them as much? So I don't equate spending millions on people with love, I equate love with keeping one's hands off of loved ones.

It isnīt. Mexicans from Mexico ( not Mexican-Americans or immigrants) are usually more educated in the sense that Floyd is a visitor and should be treated nicely. Itīs a Latin cultural thing. Nobody likes him more tan Canelo and no Mexican likes his chicken style.
