Hbo being butthurt about GBP taking floyd, khan and canelo to showtime, then HBO pretty much banning all GBP fighters like Broner and Bhop does hurt the sport... No reason for them to turn down Bhop-adonis.. Bhop always brought great numbers to the network... That fight would have done massive numbers on regular hbo.. but since odds are Bhop schooling Adonis, they were afraid that Bhop would go back to showtime with the title....
Adonis vs Froch, Bute, Pascal, Ward are also great matchups so its not a bad move by HBO..

Plus on the bright side,, HBO losing GBP fighters, and Top Rank Kinda in rebuild mode in terms of their stable with JMM, Bradley, Manny, JR all on long hiatus for different reasons and ward being hurt,,
It has forced HBO to carry more "International" fighters like GGG, Geale, froch-kessler, etc....
Ten years ago you would have not seen any of those guys on HBO,, Just like HBO never showed Calzaghe, Hatton till they were already big stars....

Is that the only match-up you can think of? That's a great option for B-Hop, not necessarily for Adonis. And since GBP/HBO are on bad terms, why would that fight even be discussed? HBO could match Adonis with Bellew, Cloud, Kovalev/Cleverly winner, Pascal/Bute winner, or a rematch with Dawson. Later down the line, they could match him up with Ward too. People want to see B-Hop make history (again), but I couldn't care less about that.

hopkins is a better matchup than everyone u just named with the exception of ward. seriously i get what u are trying to say, but theres no need to act like there arent better fights and matchups out there. if this is the best hbo can do they are in trouble, thats undeniable. no1 wants this crap. we may watch it, but we aint demanding it.

We as fans play matchmakers all the time, but in this instance, nobody has come up with recent match-ups that HBO has had the money to force but didn't. If fans don't like the match-ups that HBO/Showtime are accepting, then hype up the alternatives.

B-Hop brings solid ratings (shocking), but stylistically, he's the one I'd be the least excited to see Adonis fight.
