GGG, Gavin, Crolla, Quigg, Macklin, Smith: Where do they go from here?

All these guys listed wins over the last couple of nights. Gavin looked decent in his win over Vassel but I'm firmly in the camp that he can't make it at world level. The guys on Boxnation were sucking him off but if you watch the fight it was extremely sloppy, the rounds were close and Gavin was doing a better job of frustrating Vassell rather than winning the rounds.

Crolla is a good domestic scrapper and if he ever fights Burn he will get stopped.

I think Quigg is genuine world class quality and throws his punches in perfect text book fashion. If he was to fight Frampton now he would outclass him over 12. Quigg has a great chance of making his name in a limited division. It's a top heavy division and whereas Santa Cruz and Kameda are good fighters I can't see any of them beating Quigg.

Macklin is still one of those middleweights that can and will give the likes of Sturm, Geale, Barker and Murray problems but he is out of GGG and Martinez's leagues. I reckon Macklin goes on to fight a few more times and once Barker loses Geale there will be a domestic dust up.

Smith will trundle along in the domestic scene.

Now on to GGG, the destroyer of worlds. This man is the real deal, I was impressed with him in the past but his opposition wasn't exactly the best and the he did what he did last night. No one has ever obliterated Macklin, a fully fledged, career long middleweight. GGG has the power to hurt anyone in the division but I think talks of him being the best at 160 are unfair. Martinez is still the real world champ and till he is beaten GGG can not be regarded as number one. Will Martinez want this fight? I don't see it, if Martinez was a few years younger than maybe but now he is old, he has slowed and his body i giving up on him. Knee injuries, hand injuries...the list goes on. Martinez has seen his fair share battles and will want to close out on a big money high. Cotto next?

It depends, if the duck comes as it likely will and Martinez fights somebody other than GGG and still continues claiming to be the number 1 in the division then it's hollow. it would be like if Michael Spinx ducked tyson and fought Tubbs instead and then still claimed he was still the true champ. Martinez cxan duck GGG and have his 'big money' high if he wants but he better not keep claiming to be the man at 160 if he does.

Lol then how does Mayweather stay known as the best?

Just because he doesn't fight him right away coming of An injury (again) doesn't mean duck.

Spot on! Floyd has been p4p number one for years and hasn't always fought the best.
Martinez doesn't need to fight GGG straight away. I'd be happy if he fights Geale and unifies titles, that's still a great opponent.

Martinez doesn't want anything to do with a powerful puncher.

I think that the most obvious fight right now given the context is Martin Murray. He's the interim WBA champ, while GGG is WBA champ. With that he has a solid claim on Martinez.
Id be happy to see GGG against any champ in his weigth division or close to it.
But I want to see him fight real champions.

Sergio is so shot these days I'm wondering if he could win his next fight I think dibella should see what kind of offer hbo would throw at a Martinez/ggg unification bout or Chavez jr. It's time for Sergio to hang em up with a nice pay day.
