GGG displayed a great fight tonight but Macklin is no Sergio and we all know this. Sergio is a pure boxer and will counter GGG all day even though Sergio will definitely get knocked down he will still win coming off of the canvis. GGG is too slow for Sergio. He would get countered and frustrated all night.

I feel bad for Sergio. I honestly think that 3G ends his career. HBO should keep building 3G's resume and notoriety while Sergio heals up, and make Sergio/GGG in mid-2014.

Golovkin is too class 27 wins 24 kos amazing never doubted him

The difference between the two is golovkin is a much better boxer. He cuts the ring off better, has much better footwork and defense. Matthyse's power is comparable though. Golovkin's footw8rk and power make him a threat to pretty much any middleweight who could venture into the ring with him.

well hes definitely not hard to hit, but his power is definitely the real deal. that is what keeps ppl from hitting him

He has very good defense, he rarely gets hit clean. And yes his offense is basically his best defense but he has proved to move/roll very well. You dont have to be Mayweather to have a "good defense"

Martinez won't fight him. Not enough money in it for him and way too high of a risk golovkin says he can easily make 154. Would the mayweather alvarez winner fight him? Again, doubtful. Not enough money, way too high risk.

Im glad someone said it. Macklin is fringe world class at best. He was in wars with the likes of Jamie Moore 6/7 years ago.

Great performance but the win isn't that impressive.
