OK fine, appreciate you confidence on fantasy fights. If Macklin gets thumped, on to the next one.

And no, you're failing to understand the current boxing scene, in the US at least. The fight would not be possible because GGG is with HBO and GBP fighters are not welcome on HBO. That wasn't always the case, for example last 2 times GGG was on HBO all promoters were welcome. Maybe Quillin can make it possible again by dropping GBP, since they keep slotting him on SHO undercards, plus all the rest of the contenders are on HBO. Unless he prefers it this way.

I know that, but do you think GGG signed a lifetime contract with HBO?

Tons of respect for both fighters.

GGG is definitely a monster but I hope he isn't a hype job like Lucian Bute.

Macklin is no Froch, but I'm sure he isn't a cakewalk either. He'll fight to the end.

DiBella makes some great points about Golovkin without bashing the fighter

Golovkin has a lot going for him, decorated amateur, undefeated fighter, high KO percentage (88.5%) and very exciting to watch

**Max Kellerman is a particularly noticeable Golovkin cheerleader .. look for that tonight on the HBO broadcast.

with all that going for him, I guess it's easy to over rate/hype the guy. Undefeated action fighters don't exactly populate the sport so in that regard Golovkin is appreciated especially because he's been pretty active in the ring, as this fight vs Macklin will be his 3rd fight of 2013 (Rosado, Ishida)

but yeah maybe DiBella is right that Golovkin has been matched carefully against 154ers/no hopers to make him look good

that aside tonight vs Macklin is a very tough bout with a top 10 opponent so hopefully Golovkin can put on a great performance and silence the critics

No but if HBO was gonna sign him for a multi fight contract, it would be right about now, if not already. Cause HBO is in the MW business, and SHO is not.

Hey Quiilin could have easily played the network angle in that recent embarrassing interview, but he let his instincts take over. Someone bump that for this guy please

Dunno if it's lifetime, but Kellerman seems pretty high on Golovkin

Hey man, you have a link for that recent video with Quillin leaning into the camera to whisper, "no money there, very risky" or something? There was a long thread here this guy must have missed out on

Ive seen that interview, I know he ducked the fight serval times already, how many times I have to say that? But at the end of the day the fight as of now can be made so stop being Mr negative and trying to turn this intro a GGG vs Quillin argument when its a GGG has been fighting bums and making them come up in weight and still getting busted up by them.

Tonight GGG is fighting someone and with this win his Resume wouldn’t even be better that that of Broner. Broner’s best win is still better then any win on GGG yet people hate the kid, me included but I’m just trying to show you GGG has done nothing yet to warrant the hype he’s getting
