The problem is Sergio has a multi fight contract with HBO and both Floyd and Canelo are now Showtime fighters. He can wish all he wants for another payday but promo BS will stop either fight from happening.

To those stuck under a rock..Martinez has been asking for a shot at Mayweather since before ya'll heard Guerrero call Floyd out..hell Martinez said floyd can keep 80% if he wants..he's that sure he can beat him. He also called out Manny and then said after said he realized Manny is too small in stature and size to fight against. Martinez has been asking for a shot at the top billers since he pummeled Paul Williams...any other fighter on earth doing to paul williams what he did would've gotten more support in making a bout happen..sergio's should've been able to make that fight but didn't.

He needs to fight at 154 to show he can make weight first
If he was to fight Floyd next at 154 and get hammered the fight would be deemed a waste of time
He should fight Cotto at 154 and a good win would put him right in the mix

That 80/20 offer was a publicity stunt for gullible fans. Do you really think Martinez gets $20m vs Floyd?? Get real. He's lucky if he gets 10%. Fighters who fight Floyd don't get percentages, they get appearance fees. Sergio would be FORTUNATE to get $10m, if that.
