I can't speak for others but an old friend of mine used to tell me how he used to play basketball high and it was a blast, I tried to blaze before hitting my boxing gym once and my trainer threw me in the ring with a couple of cats I should have walked through. I thought I was in the matrix too! Until I started getting tagged. Needless to say I got sonned, I was just too dazed, and my reaction speed wasn't up to par. I am a fighter who depends on speed, agility and reflexes like Rigo and RJJ, so when you take any of those away from me I am in trouble. I didn't get really hurt or anything but I embarassed myself pretty bad. My trainer didn't even know I was baked, there was no way I was going to admit it to him because he would look down on me for it, but I made it up to him the next time I was in the ring (sober).

exactly.. I think it's fake sense of confidence.. thinking you're doing or can do better than you would sober.. I didn't do too bad.. it did help me loosen my footwork.. but reflex and speed was lacking.. so the moral of the story is .. play basketball stoned.. don't box!! ha ha!

Really I don't care about the whole debate about pot smoking. I used to do it when I was alot younger than I am now, had fun, and left it behind when it stopped being fun. Anyone who smokes it and tries to box though is an idiot. No way their reflexes are as sharp as boxing clean. And IMO the jury is still out on what's banned, why, how much, etc. I just don't think the powers that be have it fine tuned enough yet. But as for Jr getting his way (yet again), that just reeks of favoritism... and I've pretty much had enough of the low-talent spoiled rich kid getting his way all the time. Make him fight at LHW or SMW where he belongs and fine his butt for any violation of the rules, just like everyone else has to deal with.

For the most part your right, if you are talking about me though, in my defense, in my mind that day I had no intention of sparring and was actually going early and figured since it was so early no one would really be there and I could just do bag work listening to music stoned, which was the euphoria I was hoping for, and it just turns out there was someone there to spar and my trainer wanted me to jump in and tune the two guys up. Either way it wasn't too bad, I just looked silly and much less refined than usual. If it was any other day or any actual competition match I wouldn't dream of it.
