Anyone else think Mayweather/Canelo will be just like Mayweather/De la Hoya?

I see this fight going that direction. Maybe the earlier rounds will look better for Canelo, but seeing how he doesn't even have the stamina of a 36 year old De la Hoya with the catch weight it seems like he's gonna fight Mayweather's fight. He's gonna find it difficult to turn with Mayweather's amazing foot work and will realize he only has a stalker's chance. Canelo fans (mostly casual mexicans and women that dont know **** about boxing) are delusional thinking he's gonna go in there and steam roll Mayweather, and Mayweather fans are delusional thinking Mayweather's brittle hands will KO Canelo legally.

this fight could easily be fixed just like hoya/mayweather probably was to turn floyd into a star. that was the fakest looking fight i've seen until banks/mitchell. very possible golden boy makes it a draw so they have 2 ppv stars. also very possible canelo dies trying to make weight.

This is more of a mismatch than Floyd-Guerrero imo. What tool(s) does Alvarez have to trouble Floyd? He is a low-output very orthodox fighter who has shown signs of gassing in ten rounders. You're fighting Floyd Mayweather in Vegas, you need to bring it for all twelve. This is no open-scoring Trout fight where the other guy gets announced how far out of it he is every round and there's nothing he can do about it.

Oscar had a way better chance at beating Floyd than Canelito does. He may win a few rounds and make it exciting, but he won't give Floyd any real trouble.

nah, canelo doesn't have as good of a jab as de la hoya did. you need a great jab to have any chance against mayweather

No, Canelo has never shown even half the movement or aggression that Oscar did in that fight. Plus, Canelo responds very poorly to getting hit whereas Oscar shrugged it off and kept throwing.

                    ??? Explain...

Canelo fights nothing like De La Hoya so I don't think so, maybe in the fact neither throws jabs!

But Canelo isn't going to be as active as Oscar was...

Also catchweight is bull, but Alvarez is 22 and has never looked drained making weight, so there's no point thinking he cant make 2 lbs, a healthy **** before the weigh in would give him the 2 lbs!!
