How much more did Oscar get paid when he fought Floyd? SImple question
Canelo is A side when it comes to marketing and fan base not actual boxing I think you are getting yourself confused

Canelo is not hard to remember. He's a ginger, let's face it. He kept winning, usually by KO or with KD's. He's not boring to watch. Canelo made himself a star plus GBP's matchmaking skills, NOT Mayweather.

Fact is, many fighters have been in undercards in Mayweather fights. Did they get recognition because of it. NO. You get recognition by fighting the way fans want you to.

How many boxers in Floyd undercards can you count who became stars? So Mr Mayweather needs to stop this "my PPVs built Canelo's name" bs. It's utter nonsense.

Floyds gate for a 16,000 seat MGM does 3 to 4 times more than Canelo in a 40,000 seat venue. It isn't really close at this moment.
No **** dumb phaggot mayweather has had his whole career to make a name for himself

        Canelo is just starting out

what A side begs for a fight?
Exactly and what A side recieves 30 Million Dollars less than his opponent?? Lol name an opponent that made more than Pac in the last 4-5 years! You can't because Pac was the A side lol!

Mayweather is making almost a garuantee of $40 Mil and Canelo is making $10 mil and he is the A-side? lol yo dudes on this forum are pathetic and nobody as of yet has still came back with facts to shut me down, or prove me wrong!

          But great post!

            somewhere in the mid 300's
            after he vblew up
So by your logic would Floyd vs Hernandez PPV sold more than say Oscar vs Tito?
            I dont think so.
            Think before you type bro
Floyd's statement is in reference to who's the A-side right now isn't it? Floyd is Canelo's Oscar in the sense he'll make him bigger if he wins, and probably even when he loses. Floyd had at least headlined PPV's before Oscar, Canelo's obviously a huge draw, but answering who's the A-side right now, it's Floyd.

Also you're comparing a fight the magnitude of Oscar-Tito to Floyd-Guerrero?

Mayweather is simply the bigger draw because of his continued success on PPV vs established draws..

money vs DLH ppv king at the time

money vs hatton HUGE in England

money vs JMM big in Mexicans.. which people have to admit are a huge part of boxing

money vs mosely had just come relevant but imo wasn't big deal..

money vs cotto.. only 3rd in sales behind money and pac..

money vs Ortiz.. young and sellable fight due to the "thought" he had a chance, had just had a FOY fight with a another hypejob

              nobody mentions

              money/baldo
              money/Judah
              money/gatti
money/guerrero everyon knows it was a bust that's why he's fighting canelo

canelo is fresh and is huge with fans and especially Mexican fans, we eat anything a good prospect feeds us.. trying to fill the void of chavez sr.. or even DLH, despite what people say, was loved by the Hispanic people.

bet if dlh was around and relevant.. a dlh/canelo fight would outdo money/canelo.. just saying..

but I do agree with mayweather is saying he HELPED canelo grow.. especially when he refused to sign a guarantee.. then SHOWTIME stepped in and made it happen.

I think the ppv will do decent numbers but nothing out of this world..not ODLH/MAYWEATHER numbers to say the least. In reality Canelo's numbers against Trout was a flunk and allot less of expectations then when Trout fought Cotto and coming off the biggest win of his career.

                  very true

floyd was not suppose to fight canelo but showtime needs to recover from the significant financial lost they incurred on floyd's last fight with guerrero.

fortunately, canelo will help showtime to recover from the lost investments they gambled on floyd.

I think it would do more than the 1.5 as well.

Oscar was the man, the main draw that's why Floyd ha to move up to his weight! Floyd won and took the torch! Getting confused?? Please

Your saying Canelo is the A-side when how many PPV'S has he headlined?? Answer the question!

And who is making $40 mil this fight minimum and who is make $10 mil? Now what A-side makes $30 million less than his counterpart??

If he was bringing in all of these fans then he will be making more... But last time I checked Floyd's fights have been on PPV headlined since 2006! Canelo still can't say he headlined a PPV until after Sept 14th!!

So what are you saying again?? OH AIGHT
