Maidana Predicts Broner will avoid him, Drop back down to 135

"Of course I want to fight him because I want be a world champion again so I have instructed my advisor to get it done ASAP and he is been doing some talking in New York this weekend."

"Everybody knows that Broner is a skillful fighter and he showed some of his skills on Saturday," said Maidana. "Yet like I always said, Paulie is a smart warrior and he prevented Broner from showing his brightest side.

"The mistake would now be for Broner to face me and you know that I am not a trash talker, but I will knock out Broner if I am in a ring with him. I think he would prefer to give the title away though and move back to 135lbs rather than fight me.

"Broner would fight in a totally different way (than versus Malignaggi) against me. He would run desperately and try to box me from the outside. He would probably hit me often, but I can take a punch so sooner or later I'll catch him with a good one and he will go to sleep."

"I always fight the best out there and there are many good fighters in the welterweight division at the moment, but the one who has the belt that I want is named Adrien Broner."

Basically. Yep. But he wouldn't run. He can't.

He hasn't shown amazing footwork and movement in past fights, vs De Marco a bit but Usually broner just stands there.

De Leon isn't exactly the fastest and he was catching broner plenty, maybe Broner has improved and would show superior movement and footwork vs a Dangerous 147 puncher like Maidana or Lucas.

I tweeted this fight to Broner and I hope it gets made.

I thought that Broner did very well against Paulie and that he clearly won but Paulie gave a good effort and it was a great fight.

Broner doesn't really have fancy footwork as he rather shuffles forward and I could see Maidana landing some hard bodyshots since Paulie was able to tag Broner's body even while he was in his philly shell defensive mode

This would be a really interesting fight. I don't think Broner fights that well off the back foot, and without the size advantage, I have a hard time believing he can walk down Maidana like he did Demarco. Pluss Maidana is on another level then Demarco.

It's either that or get blasted apart. He would have no choice.

Broner isn't gonna run, you gotta be superior to Broner on the inside if you want him to move, or that much stronger and durable, Broner has the power to hurt Maidana, stand in close, and he's the far superior infighter. Broner will smother Maidana's attack, the sheer thought of Broner running; moving backwards is laughable.

Maidana is 100% correct. Broner knows he would get knocked out if he stepped in the ring with Maidana. Expect Broner to drop down to 140 or 135 for his next fight.
