These weren't reasons at all. It was all Haye's fault.
It's also Haye's fault that Fury wants 80/20 even though he's never been on PPV, never headlined a big show on Sky, hasn't sold more than 5k tickets ever, doesn't have nearly the same size fanbase, never fought on HBO/Showtime, has never been a household name, never held a big title, never did anything as an amateur, never fought a top ten ranked opponent....

    It's all Haye.

    Haters gonna hate.
Ha ha ha. Fury doesn't deserve more than 35-40%, IMO. Haye may, however, have to give a little more because Channel 5 will need some compensation.

On a serious note, do you think one of the big US broadcasters will take this fight? I'm sure EPIX will be keen, but I wonder if there will be interest from SHO/HBO

Maybe showtime. I don't think HBO will touch Haye again for a long time. He used to have some good shows on Showtime like v. Ruiz and Enzo.

It will probably end up being Epix though, but maybe Eddie Hearn can do something with the bigger networks seeing as he's just been over there for a big meeting.

But probably Epix. They have the best commentators anyway.

Is that true? 100% he was serious?

          ****ing 80% is a joke.

60/40 or maybe 70/30 at most but 80/20?

Heck Haye is much more known than Fury.

Here's what Fury said today on Sky Sports.

"I did say that (I wanted 80% of the purse), because Haye is a has-been and I am what is in fashion at the moment. What's in fashion needs the lion's share.
"We have a deadline of the end of the month to sign a contract, so if he wants a fight he will sign the contract. If not we will move on, but is it never over until it is over and there is room for negotiation and I am sure we can reach an agreement.

This is my biggest problem with fury, he thinks he's a ****ing super star. He's nothing but a big bum. Smh haye would put his lights out like he works for Con Ed and Mr. Fury is late with his monthly payment.

Lol Fury is a clown for even thinking about thinking about asking for anything in his favour. He should fall on his knees to praise the lord for a 60/40 split in Haye's favour let alone a very very very generous 50/50 split.

I like Haye but actually feel that he hates tall guys. That being said, Fury has been dropped by 2 guys I think. If you have a weak chin Haye has that power...

I agree. I always felt when I read an article saying 5 mil each mega fight that Haye should get more.

I've seen your bashing of a potential Froch-Kessler III fight on youtube! haha.

Stalking your favorite person to hate on, Eddie Hearn?
Got to love Ifilm london though.
