Floyd vs Alvarez, going to be shades of Martinez vs Chavez Jr.?

In other words, domination of the young Mexicans taking their first real real step up in class. Not comparing Alvarez to Chavez or Floyd to Sergio, but in terms of how the match plays out.

What I'm saying is, does anyone else think Floyd will have a relatively easy time with Canelo unless the young one shows something brand spankin' new come fight night?

to be fair, I think Trout is a very good fighter. Chavez never fought anyone like that. There are probably some on here who think that Trout is the harder fighter to beat at Jr MW between him and Floyd

Since I have cash on Canelo to win I don't think it is the same. As far as experience goes it's simular but Canelo is much more serious than Chavez and improves every fight. I believe he will fight better in this fight than he did in the Trout fight. Floyd will be in top shape as usual but he will be a few months older and he will be fighting a bigger, faster, smarter and harder hitting fighter than Cotto or Guerrero. That's why Floyd is only a 2 to 1 favorite instead of the 7 to 1 favorite he usually is.

From all of Floyd's opponents I think Canelo is most like Cotto IMO and maybe the 154 lbs version of Oscar

The same dude who was stopped by Vera? Uh, No. And even in that fight Chavez was way bigger & stronger. Trout was just as big as Canelo
