Interesting times for all us UK fight fans.....
....nearly everyone eased-out by Sky has got united and organised and they are on the fightback trail.
Warren seized the bull-by-the-horns and now he has got Hatton's crew, Maloney and McGuigan for company. He's also got a sugar daddy with the Rainham Steel tycoon on board.
Individually, these guys can no longer shake the tree but collectively that's alot of talent on one channel. Add in the fact that FW has the contacts to pull-in big international fights and BoxNation looks a whole lot better.
Couple of what-if questions...wonder what Hennessey is thinking right now as the one big player outside the Sky and BoxNation tents and with Channel 5 still apparently unwilling to commit to a long-term boxing programme?
Additionally, wonder what Sky are thinking? Maybe too many eggs in the Hearn basket and what happens if he does not deliver, gets awkward etc. Perhaps that might lead to a quick, pre-emptive strike to offer Hennessey a contract and get the Furys. Especially as they could outbid Channel 5 without breaking sweat.
Maloney's hair is classic....looks like a ****ney Silvio Berlusconi!Comment

Good news for British boxing...good to see that Hatton's fighters will actually be fighting regularly now. With Frank constantly postponing shows previously, this may actually lead to getting some consistent regular, high quality promotions which is good news for everyone.
It also puts the pressure on Hearn now to deliver some big fights as Boxnation will have the ability to put on some really good cards. Also interesting to see what Hennesey does if CH5 disbands from boxing...
Interesting stuff, I am looking forward to seeing how it pans out but all in all, great news for British boxing. I just hope that Sky and Boxnation will work with each other to put on any big fights...Comment
