He should NOT hire crazy Teddy as his trainer. If he wants an American trainer, he should find a good one like ****m Richardson or Abel Sanchez.
Well, the old bloodsucker didn't ruin De La Hoya, Mayweather and Cotto career. On contrary - made them stars. To me Top Rank seems more professional and experienced than Golden Boy.

He won't leave his father for someone else. They might let someone else come in as a second but he's not leaving his father....Abel Sanchez as part of the team Iwouldnt mind one bit.

Tell me something. You pinheads are always so quick and eager to talk about "old bloodsuckers" etc. Exactly what has the old bloodsucker you are referring to, actually done to merit all the filth thrown at him?? Nobody has ever said.

The ONLY one I ever heard about was Mayweather, but he has never sued Top Rank. And he keeps damn quiet about it. Arum was asked about it by a reporter and this is what he said. (I'm paraphrasing slightly)

"We did owe Mayweather some money, which we were paying off in payments agreed on. We then discovered that there had been an error and he had been paid more than he was owed so we stopped. The overpayment wasn't enough to make it worth while considering the lawyer fees."

This has never been refuted and since then Mayweather has never uttered another words about it............

So what do YOU know for sure??

Marvin Hagler stayed with Top Rank from beginning to end, all through his whole career, and has only the highest regard for them, particularly Arum. He has said this...(Paraphrasing) Don King tried to get me to sign with him, and got close to my wife who then tried to pursuade me to go to King. I told her ".... If you don't stop interfering with my business I'll stop supporting your mother, she won't get another cent..." And that was THAT. It's a well known item.

Arum promoted 26 of Ali's fights and so many other top fighters that Golden Balls will never catch up in 3 lifetimes. All the same I don't care who Lomachenko signs with.

The guy wouldn't pay for drug testing and got his fighter ktfo'd.

i couldn't imagine picking bob arum over GBP right now. who knows what is going to happen when bob dies? he's a great man, and i don't want to insult him, but he's going to be dead or retired in a few years. i think he will work until he dies.

the guy was born in 1931. most of his peers are dead. some have probably been retired for 20 years now.

back in the day TR vs modern gbp, i'd take TR. they know exactly how to move a fighter from the beginning of his career.

if you're already an established guy you'd look at the stables and pick wherever you think you'd make the most money for the easiest fights.
