Yeah you were definitely wrong about that. He has potential but only tests against the top fighters will prove his mettle. This was a test against a solid fighters and I saw some flaws (lack of movement, lack of amalgamating offense and defense, just standing there blocking while punches are thrown at him without any return fire) that give me pause before anointing him the next face of the sport.

Deontay would definitely make more money than Floyd has ever made if he became HW champ, especially if he was knocking out every foe. There is something about being labled "The baddest man on the planet" that America yearns for (in one of their own). Bank on it homie, wait and see, if he ever gets there he is going to break all the records.

Broner at 23 is much better than Floyd at 23

And you cant knock Broner for not knocking Paulie out cuz Floyd wouldnt be able to knock him out either

Roger actually said Ponce De Leon is a very good fighter, when asked who would be the next guy to carry boxing. That was the most interesting comment to me.

And how exactly is Broner at 23 better than Floyd at 23?

Deontay Wilder ain't gon do shiet. Boxing desperately needs a top, exciting American Heavyweight but anyone with an ounce of sense knows Wilder is poor. And even if he waits out the Klits and wins an alphabet title, he will never in a million years make Floyd money. That kid won't make half of what Floyd was guaranteed against Robert Guerrero.

Re Broner - my post was a mess, I missed out words, sorry. What I meant to say was - YOU said on this site that this kid had the potential to be ATG. Not just potential to be p4p number 1 - but an ALL TIME GREAT.

Not me. You said that. Right before he fought Lil Gav Rees.

Do you feel a bit ****** now?

Turns out he was referring to J'Leon, not De Leon.

Honestly, I've got more faith in Ponce running the sport than Love

Broner is still young. By the time he's 30, he'll have cleared out 160 and under IMO.

Broner couldn't stop someone at WW, and you're predicting that he'll move up to MW?

he's still young, so he'll probably grow out a bit in the next few years. He only had "trouble" stopping Paulie because Paulie was ducking away under Adrien's left all night.

24 next month. He is relatively young in fighting terms but clearing out the whole way to MW in the next 6 years is pretty big ask.

Before FMJ was 24 he fought Hernandez, Manfredy and Corrales.
Before 24 Broner has fought De Leon and Paulie.

                      There is no comparison.
