Also there is that chance that he might be weight drain
Canelo already seems in amazing condition so I doubt he'll be on any sort of "weight loss over training camp" regimen. Still lots of time to go.

He should boil himself down to 130. He'll be like lightning.

I guess DLH learned his craft at the foot of the master, Bob Arum.

It always amazes me to see how many boxing fans actually believe that a boxer can go on a diet and hire a bunch of experts a few months before a fight as a shortcut to the type of conditioning that can only truly be attained through lifestyle and consistent, dedicated training. Yes, it's possible to see meaningful gains in strength and endurance in a relatively short period of time, but you can't say "I'm going to be in as good a shape as Bernard Hopkins" without living the Bernard Hopkins lifestyle for a lot longer than a few months.

You can spin Canelo's plans any way you want but the idea that a fighter who in his last fight a) fought at 20 pounds north of his weigh-in weight and b) was winded by the sixth round can rectify his conditioning issues in 2-3 months is just pure foolishness. The fact that De La Hoya is suggesting just this shows that Canelo and his team know just how big a problem his conditioning really is. Unfortunately, the intense focus they need to place on getting Canelo in shape will almost certainly distract from what he really needs to do: prepare to face off against a fighter who is far more skilled than anyone he has ever faced.
Better to eat right train right than eat wrong and train wrong.

IF Canelo has not been eating good or training properly then eating right and training right will have a good effect.

At this point its irrelevant what life style either man has had, the contracts are signed and we have a fight Sept 14

            The Best Trainer
            The Best Conditioner

I realize Canelo and his team should provide these elements but if I were ODH I would make sure of no stone unturned.

I would pull in Castillo and have him in his training to show and tell Canelo how he beat JR but was ROBBED,
