Don King was trying to find options for another JCC welterweight fight since a Whitaker rematch aint possible, and yes this was mentioned upon in '94. At that time I'll already be picking Tito by lopsided decision, similar to Trinidad's win over Camacho.

It took long enough for the trolls and uniformed to make an appearance. If you don't know jack about the boxing scene's discussions back in 1994 then keep away from the thread. If anyone looks ****** by not knowing boxing history and fights that were actually being discussed at a certain point in time it's you, wiseass noobs.

Finally, someone who is aware of the discussions that took place back in 1994. Glad to see an informed reply regarding this fight that never took place.

In reality it would've been better than some of the bums Trinidad was fighting from '95 to late '98, though.

Of course, it would have been a megafight back then. After a very productive 1994, Trinidad was harmed by poor management which resulted in fights against weak opponents. That was until 1999, when he started the run that solidified his status a a great fighter.
