So why did you change your sig pic?

    • So why didn't Canelo refuse the catchweight? He could've flat out said: "No. You come up to 154 or no fight."

Apparently, he doesn't feel it will affect him. He could've asked to weigh in at 153 instead. But he didn't.

At post-fight, will he claim : "I really believe those 2 lbs. affected me at the weigh-in."??

I've always been again fighters fighting at WAYYY lower weight classes than they should be. Canelo should be atlest fighting at 160..now I know he knows GGG and Martinez would pounce on him, but let's be real.

He's saying that now, but after 12 rounds of being countered and looking silly, him and Oscar will sing like birds.

Refuse the biggest payday of his career? He isn't Floyd or Pacquiao where he can make great money fighting on his own. He conceded to Floyd's demands because he had to.

            • LOL at people playing dumb. "If he wanted it at 154, why not demand it? Why not hold out?"

Because he's talking to Floyd ****ing Mayweather! Who is Saul Alvarez to demand a goddamn thing from Floyd Mayweather? It's like saying, "Gee, Shane Mosley really should have made more demands of Oscar De La Hoya." If you don't give in, you don't get that payday.

No ****. What fighter goes into a fight saying they will be drained? Even if they are actually worried about it, they won't say it.

I'll reserve judgment, but I have a hard time believing Alvarez makes 152 at all, let alone without paying a price.

Errmmmmm......why? He has no problem making 154 and is comfortable there, its his best weight.

                  • I think both parties benefitted from a catch weight.

Canelo looks big for the weight, making the 1 (2) extra pound(s) could be a bit of a problem, probably more mentally than phisically.

On the other hand, should he lose as it is likely, he already has a perfect excuse.

Let's not forget that Canelo is only 22, he needs his hype to stay high. As some reporter defined it, he needs the "Canelo Mania".

" I was weigh drained", " I felt weak" etc etc. Even if he loses his 0 he will stay relevant. Nobody is going to dismiss him as a bum. Thanks to the catch weight, even after a defeat, he wouldn't end up being discredited like Guerrero, Baldomir, Ortiz etc.

                      Don't doubt it.

He could've also stayed put or moved up. He's got Golovkin, Martinez and Ward at his level.
