Supposedly the odds for Ali to beat Foreman were only 3/1, so I'm not sure it was as big an upset as people like to think.

He was 7/1 to beat Liston in the 1st fight by all accounts. So that was the much bigger upset just going off odds.

3-1 is a big upset when it's at the absolute top level of the sport. Then the fact that Ali knocked him out. It was huge.

I looked at the previous posts and I did not see the following:

          Barrera vs. Hamed
          Wladimir vs. Sanders
          Judah vs. Baldomir

I am not saying those were huge upsets compared to Tyson vs. Douglas or Ali vs. Foreman, but those were fights that shocked the boxing world, especially the Hamed loss because he was one of those guys that, although flawed, always found a way to win.

Maybe this one is not that big of an upset if you look at the quality of the fighter who won, but I think that the first Mosley win over De La Hoya was a bit unexpected considering that De La Hoya was still in his prime and Mosley was going up two divisions to challenge him. De La Hoya was also the star and I'm sure many were really surprised by this outcome.
