How much credit did a 23 year old Khan get for winning every round, beating up and stopping a better version of Paulie...........Very little.
How much credit should 23 year old Broner get for struggling and arguably losing to an older faded version of Paulie.........None whatsoeverComment

I'm pretty sure some of those people giving Broner credit were shitting on Khan. How much credit did a 23 year old Khan get for winning every round, beating up and stopping a better version of Paulie...........Very little.

I dont think it was a total worthless fight. Paulie gave Broner some pretty good work. Broner was never in any danger and he did what he wanted with Paulie. Going 12 rounds for the first time is good for Broner. The dude needs to take boxing more seriously though.Comment

Well then my opinion is I think much less of Broner than I did before the fight, because if you are truly a great fighter you handle Paulie. If you are not he gives you a bunch of trouble. He gave Broner way more trouble than he should have if Broner was as good as he thinks, and Paulie isn't nearly as good as he was when he beat Diaz twice.Comment

I don't understand why Broner just stands there and gets hit like he does. We all know Paulie doesn't have power but would he let Maidana or Matthysse tee off on him like that? The guy has talent but he's lacking on the brains and defense. Keep it classy AB!Comment

You get credit for beating anyone, but I think if Broner doesn't do something to change his movement, he's in for a long night against Rios, Mathysse, or Maidana.
He can't stand there and get hit the way he does.Comment

I saw Paulie hitting a lotta arms, shoulders, and gloves too. And a good majority of his "scoring" blows were glancing and didn't land flush because AB was rolling with them. Paulie did land to the body some. But many of his body punches were being blocked by AB's elbows. The reality is, no matter how feather fisted a guy is, if he's landing flush, his opponent's head is gonna snap back. And personally, I don't remember Broner's head snapping back with any regularity.
In the end, people are gonna see what they wanna see. I scored the fight 116-112 watching it for a second time on mute. And that score seems to be pretty consistant with what many along press row had. Paulie was soundly beaten, but not dominated. And because people don't like Broner, they exaggerating what actually happen in the boxing match.Comment

"Get hit the way he does?" Dude, Paulie landed 25% of his punches and a lotta those were glancing blows. You make a world class fighter, with fast hands, who's gameplan is to touch you and is not really try to land any hard shots miss 630 times, I'd say defense is the least of your worries.
As for the guys you mentioned giving him trouble, I doubt it. I think all are tailor-made for AB. Its hard enough to hit AB with straight punches. The wide, looping punches that the fighters you mentioned throw would get them chopped up against AB.Comment
