Adrien Broner (27-0, 22KOs) became a word champion at a third different weight after securing a split-decision victory over Paulie Malignaggi to win the WBA welterweight title. Broner was given the fight by scores of 117-111 and 115-113 on two judges' scorecards, while the third gave it to Malignaggi 115-113. Broner, who had never gone beyond 10 rounds before, was stepping up two divisions from lightweight to take on Malignaggi in his home city of New York. Malignaggi showed plenty of grit and determination at Barclays Center but was ultimately outworked by his 23-year-old opponent.

He won't drop to 140 and since they said Maidana could be his next fight he won't stay at 147. If Maidana hits him with what Paulie hit him last night he gets KOed.

Who the **** is he gonna fight at 135? He wont fight Vazquez, Gamboa or Abril cause his people know he can't deal with movement and jabs...

Wouldn't surprise me. Judah went to sleep for most of the Garcia fight. I bet Haymon told him "Play it cool, don't worry, I have another fight for you after this."

he admitted that he doesnt like to lose weight, thats why he moved up. he said this in one of his "about billions" episodes. if he drops down to 135 itll be disgusting, there is no turning back now, he needs to fight the guys at 147 or 140, no excuses

Clear as day, homies power did not carry to 147. I realize he's a protected fighter, but seeing him jumping up and down weight classes looking for tailor made opponents is a little much even for the jaded boxing fan. There is no way he's fighting Maidana which is what I was hearing before last nights fight.
