It's not that he doesn't possess these tools but against light punching Malignaggi he never had to use footwork. I promise you if he were to fight Marcos Maidas or Lucas Matthysse he would use better defense. Broner gets a little lazy but he is definitely capable of better defense.

Paulie fought damn near perfectly last night the best he could and like paulie said if he had his 25yr old legs he would have pitched a shut out last night vs this hypejob broner. I had paulie all but written off after the cano fight but he proved me wrong last night, respect to him!

Broner fought the way a guy jumping up two weight divisions fights....cautiously. I can't stand Broner, but after the first 4 rounds, he was in complete control of the fight. Paulie threw alot, but it was tough to give him rounds after the first 4. Paulie just threw to keep up, but he absorbed lots of punishment.

Broner is a total douche...but he fought just as cautiously as Floyd did when he first moved up to face Oscar. But, Broner beat up Paulie way more than Floyd beat up Oscar. Wasn't even close.
