Al Haymon's influence on boxing is common knowledge. Nothing he said should have surprised anybody.
Paulie's outburst about Haymon

Some may not agree but what was said/implied is considerably different than what is being interpreted at this moment. People are talking as if he claimed the fight was fixed and really I never got that impression at the time of the comments or after he clarified.
He was speaking to the politics of boxing. Which is alive and well. Really it's one of the biggest aspects of boxing that holds it back from being accepted as a mainstream sport (along with other reasons) and probably the biggest unspoken black eye within the sport itself.
Hence the biting the hand that feeds you comment.
Now we can debate how synonymous political influence and "fixed" are. But I see political influence just a bit south of fight fixing. But a huge a problem nonetheless.Comment

In my opinion i thought he out husssled broner with activity. Broner landed harder shots but they were too few in between. And showtime announcers were very pro Broner for some reason. They should have been for neutral considering he works with them. And Hopkins did what Jones did in the Bradley fight. Paulie spoke the truth.Comment

I have never been a fan of Paulie, and I guess I'm still not. But he has made me root for him during this build-up, and I loved what he said in the post fight interview. Everyone that keeps it real will get kudos from me.
I dislike Haymon, and I HATE the twins.Comment
