I truly hope Maidana takes Broners head off. Would be a dream come true.

Maidana's style is perfect for broner.

He would pick off his shots, counter and land his easily. Especially considering Maidana has no defense.

And i'm a big Maidana fan.

This is true. He is a different type of fighter than Mayweather, with different attributes. It makes no sense for him to copy Mayweather's style.

Berto doing a Mayweather impersonation. I know it's not quite true, Broner's better than that, but I think it every time I watch him.

I agree. Maidana's too slow and Broner's too good throwing to the body. I'm sure Marcos would have moments, but unless Broner has glass that hasn't been exposed, he'd definitely beat Maidana.

Is he though? If Paulie had any power whatsoever Broner would have got brutalised and probably stopped. Malignaggi was landing 7 punch combos on him at one point.

We got what we expected when the decision was announced, but looking at it objectively, he didn't deserve it.

I don't think power is what he's lacking, it's the pace and the movement that he was short on last night.

Broner should hang out at 140 for a while if he wants his 0 to last.

Broner, for obvious reasons, didn't respect Paulie's punches. Against someone that can actually hurt him, he wouldn't stand there I don't think. Berto is really dead average, and Broner's proven to be better than that. He may not be able to hang at welterweight, we'll see.

To be fair, Paulie always had a beard but it does seem like Broner doesn't possess the same power at 147. But that's both predictable and understandable. Broner has a lot of work to do if he wants to reach the top. Once Broner faces someone at 147 with power, he will have to use his feet to avoid shots or he will be in some serious wars. On the other hand, most guys at 147 aren't fleet footed like Paulie so they will be easier for Broner to hit too.

The Mayweather comparisons should probably stop for a while. Even when Floyd was walking guys down, he was still defensively responsible. Broner let's guys get too many shots off without moving. I have a feeling that will change against harder punchers but until proven otherwise this is all I can go by. His foot movement is the key to his longevity and success in the sport. Broner may have to train with Floyd Sr.

If Broner was half as good as he says he is he would be twice as good as he really is.He has taken Paulie's place as the weakest welterweight title holder. He is just a good fighter but nothing special.Broner said he does not want to fight Floyd because Floyd is like a big brother to him and he does not want to give Floyd his first loss. Dream on, Broner. Will he defend his welterweight title against a dangerous fighter like Maidana or Thurman or will he fight an easy guy again?
