Comments Thread For: Dmitry Pirog is Still Hoping To Return To The Ring

Former world middleweight champion, 32-year old Russian fighter Dmitry Pirog (20-0, 15KOs) is still hoping to return to the ring. He made serious noise when he blasted out Daniel Jacobs in five rounds back in July of 2010. He made several defenses and had a big fight lined up in 2012 against IBO/WBA champion Gennady Golovkin on HBO, but continued back injuries have prevented his return to the ring.

No one cares. He should've capitalized on his win over Jacobs in 2010 but he didn't and he's not even in the mw picture right now.

Back injuries are the end of Physical activity. Dmitry was good, but i think it's over.

I was hoping to see more of him. Fate really changed his and Jacobs career but Jacobs was able to miraculously return.

                You are correct.

                Depending on the severity.

                I can vouch.

Mine has put me on the shelf for years.

It's horrible I feel for him.

Sounds like GGG scared him into retirement. He's probably just waiting for Golovkin storm to pass before he gets back in the ring.
