I'm not saying Broner is the next big thing in boxing, but I do believe he's still developing.
He's pretty accomplished for 23, but it looks a lot better on paper, a "3 division champ". All 3 of his belts put together are not worth Floyd's SFW belt

Lets not act like Paulie has a weak chin. The man has never been ko'd for the 10 count. Plus Broner was coming up two weight classes.

Shane Mosley didn't exactly light the world on fire when he jumped two weight classes and fought tooth and nail with Wilfredo Rivera at Welterweight.

Broner has time to grow and hone his natural abilities. I think he just needs to tone down the ego some and work on his craft.

I also think he should take it slow at 147. Canelo is the same age but has brought along much slower than Broner.

I'd like to see Broner take on a guy like Vic Ortiz or Maidana in his next fight. I think he KO's either one of those guys. He can take on Robert Guerrero at some point in 2014.
Cut him a little slack? No way. The guy is a straight up B+ fighter who talks like he's a world beater. Don't give me the crap about moving up in weight. Paulie is a small welterweight himself and Broner was probably 155 + on fight night ie bigger than Floyd and Manny.

Paulie doesn't have a weak chin (in fact he has an iron chin) but Broner's power is still overrated and this fight showed it. Paulie was never even hurt and got hit clean countless times. Khan (medium to good puncher), Hatton (decent puncher), and Cotto (very good puncher but not a one-punch guy) all hurt Paulie more. These guys all looked better than Broner against a younger Paulie, yet after Khan beat Paulie all I heard was that Paulie is featherfisted and tailor made for Khan.

Bring Broner along slow are you kidding me? The guy has fought mostly mediocre fighters. You can't talk like Broner, be a 3 division champion and be brought along slow. Say what you want about Canelo but he's fighting Mayweather.

He didn't struggle whatsoever lol. Paulie's activity was very high, it's the ONLY thing he had going for him.

Khan was better, Cotto was better and Hatton was better... when Paulie was better.

With average power, Paulie wins that fight. It's purely his inability to punch hard that kept Broner undefeated.

Honestly, I'm having a hard time getting a read on AB.. He's quick and I know he carries pop, maybe not devastating pop like he believes. His defense that he was showing last night wouldn't be ideal for a true 147 pound fighter with pop.

But he does have this aurora of confidence that makes you think he can end the fight at anytime and is a bully in the ring which is good.

Think his team will match him with Maidana next, a true power puncher but lacks the quickness and movement of malignaggi. He's there to be hit, and people will watch since Maidana does carry the equalizer.

I'm interested in what AB goes through and how he's managed for the next year or so. Will harmony have him fight other fighters in his stable?? Devon Alexander?? Who I feel can beat AB, at this point

He looked great at 130/135 fighting Hobbits because he was freaking huge for that class and never belonged there, he lost in many people's eyes to Ponce DeLeon, had a really close call with Fernando Quintero, and got outworked by Paulie Malignaggi.

When he stepped up to his natural weight class we saw that the hypejob that the media are trying to push onto us has overrated power, overrated speed and slow stationary movement.

Broner had Paulie on the ropes many times during the fight and looked slow as hell, he didn't even hurt Paulie. O-VER-RATED.
Broneer won this fight and it really wasn't as close as posters are trying to make it. Even if it was how is a close win over paulie a bad thing?

Broner kept coming forward he kept fighting he blocked a ton of punches. Why are you complaining about that?
