Broner is only 23. Mayweather was not fighting the likes of De La Hoya at 23 years of age and in his 27th fight. To be exact, Mayweather at 23 was fighting the likes of Emmanual Burton (a fight he struggled in and looked worse than Broner did tonite) and Goyo Vargas.

And in his 27th fight he fought Jesus Chavez.

There is no doubt that Mayweather is better than Broner probably will ever be. However, Broner gets little credit for being so young and beating guys that are much older and more experienced than him.

I'd like to see him fight Amir Khan at 147 next...

Good point, but May was fighting Paulie caliber opponents at 23.

I still think Broner needs a few more lesser threats right now. I think guys like Zab Judah, Marcos Maidana and Amir Khan are who he should focus on for the next year or so.

He can take on Zab and Maidana but I think Khan would give him a lot of trouble. I see Broner struggling with the in and out style.
