Nah, Jim Grey looked so upset though, he looked like he wanted to hit Paulie lol. Paulie is right though, and if he got fired there would be a major upset and maybe Showtime would loose subscribers, definitely the ones who support Paulie.

Everyone but jim grey seemed to not be bothered by it. The panel all agreed and justified his reaction.

Jim Gray was a sneaky cnut, he tried to lure Paulie into a 'fixed fight' trap but Malignaggi was too articulate.

Showtime were pulling for their product Broner all night.

He said that nobody should have had the scoring 111-117 as the new york judge had, and that he knew it was a close fight and he knew it could have went either way. He said the more politically connected fighter usually gets the nod in boxing if the fight is close, and that Al Haymon wouldn't let a fighter like Broner lose. Jim said some ****** **** like 'but it's part of boxing' and Paulie owned him and said that doesn't mean it shouldn't be changed and isn't wrong, then eventually saying he's the only fighter who calls the judges out on ****** scoring like on the Diaz fight.

Basically, the fighter with someone like Al Haymon helping him will most of the time always get the nod in these kinds of fights.

Honestly, I can't stand Jim Gray. This is one of those fake guys that will turn a blind eye as long as it fits an agenda. Several times, fighters or promoters have hinted at the usual bs in boxing and the clown wants to cut them off trying to save face. I miss Larry Merchant and his incisive, take no prisoners style of interviewing. Props to the rest of the broadcast team for mentioning the classless, douchebag behavior of Broner during the post-fight interview.

Props to Malignaggi. Not only is he one of my favorite fighters of the last 10 years, but he is as real as it gets when he talks about the sport. He is one of the best boxing commentators I have ever listened to and his insight is as good as, if not more accurate, than that of Roy Jones.

Paulie has a bright future. If showtime fires him, HBO will welcome him with open arms.

Max K approves of a Paulie to HBO shift. Lampley/Max/Paulie would be the best commentating trio in sports history.
