Danny holding out for more money I guess. At the end of the day, if the fight falls through it's still a decent outcome for him. He'll blame Matthysse and the more intellectually challenged of his fanbase will parrot that line.

It all depends on how much pressure the troika put on him, i.e. Haymon, GBP, and Showtime. If they say there are consequences to you fucking up this fight he'll eventually sign. If they're at all indifferent about it, he'll use that as a way out.

This fight probably will be announced sometime during the Canelo vs Floyd press tour. Between Danny and Lucas they have soundly beaten every 140lber of note. So theres nobody left for either fighter to fight except each other. So this fight will happen.
