I would like to see Cleverly back this guy up behind his jab. I've seen people try to box and move against Kovalev but he's got decent foot-speed and cuts the ring off quite well. I have a feeling he can't fight too well going backwards.

Agreed, Kov doesn't work so well when he's pushed back but he does cut the ring off well...against lesser opponents. Some people hate Nathan but the kid is not only a pro he is also a fighter. Don't let him fool you, Cleverly will go in hard against Kov if he has to.

Punching power could be the difference, I've seen Clev try and brawl against some of the feather fisted bums he has faced recently and he gets hit clean at times.

Clev looks like he has decent punch resistance but i doubt he wants to get hit clean too many times off this guy though.

He boxed much more disciplined in his last fight. Kept it at long range. I wish he would do that more often instead of trying to be Calzaghe V.2
