Well, obviously Herol 'Bomber' Graham. It was supposedly a full-gone conclusion that he was a future Light-Middleweight Champion of the World.
He was British, Commonwealth and European Champion in the early 80's and had never actually been hit flush once!! It was crazy really. Tommy Hearns avoided him like the plague, even Manny Steward admits this ("Herol Graham was this guy who could make any great fighter look bad, but the prospect of a light-punching, defensive wizard did little to attract American audience"). Realising that nobody in America knew or cared who Herol Graham was, Bomber offered Manny and Tommy a big fight at Hillsborough Football Stadium, I don't know why they didn't accept (or maybe I do ).
