whats this about marquez not wanting drug testing? i read an article on here earlier saying he doesnt want bradley to rehydrate more than 10 pounds and he wants them to both be tested on the same days. did i read that article wrong or something?Comment

It looks as though there was USADA testing agreed upon that Marquez had signed for, but Bradley wants both USADA and VADA too. That's what the dispute is about.According to Bob Arum there won't be Vada or USADA testing
Bob Arum tells me Bradley vs Marquez will have neither VADA nor USADA testing. #boxing

No, I remember that. It looks like he had happily agreed to the extra USADA testing, but Bradley has come out and said he wants more testing by VADA too.
That's just getting ****** though. He had what he wanted already.Comment

Well JMM was pretty much on board with a Pacquiao 5th fight until Team Pacquiao requested both fighters undergo strict random drug testing beginning several months before the fight. AFter that JMM said F it I don't need Manny anymore, even though his main intention to beg his wife to not retire was to fight Pacman for a 5th time. I like JMM but the guy was so obsessed with Pacman and beating him that he would probably go to the extreme of juicing up just to finally get the W its why he hired MEMO.Seems like he was cool with it a month ago
WBO welterweight champion Timothy Bradley tells The Desert Sun that his upcoming defense against Juan Manuel Marquez will have double the drug testing involved. The match is set for September 14 against Marquez at the Thomas and Mack Center in Las Vegas. Bradley says Marquez was a bit concerned with using the Voluntary Anti-Doping Association (VADA), and instead wanted USADA, the U.S. anti-doping agency. A compromise was reached and both companies will be used in the fight.
Now he wants a 10 pound rehydration clause?
Hahaha....
guess he's not off his cycle yet.
Expect him to agree to terms soon enough
http://sports.inquirer.net/85623/pac...hasing-marquez“We’re willing to sit down with the camp of Mayweather (if he’s interested),” said Gacal, who added that Marquez’s refusal to fight Pacquiao again could only mean that the Mexican is “scared” of the possible “conditions” the Filipino camp might include in the fight contract.
Gacal said that, for one, they will require random drug testing before and after the fifth bout that could rival Pacquiao-Mayweather in magnitude and drawing power.Comment

Bradley's saying otherwise. There was an article about this fight having double the testing as well, way before now. I hope we find out who's telling the truth, but it's more likely that Arum just buries this. He doesn't give a **** about testing, he wants the fight.Comment

Yeah, I don't doubt it. He also has to pay for extra testing which is why he doesn't want it. All comes down to money for him. Though I wouldn't be surprised if he took it out of the fighters purses.Bradley's saying otherwise. There was an article about this fight having double the testing as well, way before now. I don't really get why Bradley would insist on double the testing TBH. Has anyone ever done double random testing? That just sounds absurd to me. One extra testing body, apart from the boxing commission, seems well and truly enough but to have the boxing commission (corrupt and inept), plus USADA and then on top of that VADA as well?Comment

a month ago they compromised for double testing, now it's an issue a month later?Comment
