I tried telling people Hopkins ducks no man. He always faces his mandatories and takes on any challenge, any style. People still complain.
My respect for Hopkins has went up, I used to question him but now I can;t anymore if he takes this fight and I hope he does its the only available easy deal to make.

I hope this fight goes through, maybe they can fight on NBC or CBS? Its def going to be one of Hopkins toughest tests and if Kov comes to fight it will be one of his most exciting fights.

I imagine the fight would be on Showtime.

Hopkins is a Golden Boy fighter, and Kovalev is a much more interesting opponent for him than Murat.

WAY more interesting, Murat stands no shot, he doesn't have that high work rate or footwork and combos that Kovalev has.

Not true. He will NEVER fight Ward, and tried to duck Dawson but was forced to fight him!

See what I mean? Still complaining.

If Ward was at 175 and owned a title and/or was his mandatory no doubt Hopkins would fight him.

Hopkins fought Dawson twice so your argument is invalid.

No Hopkins ducked Dawson for 3 years, and was forced to fight him. Then faked an injury to get out of the fight. Hopkins intentionally befriended Ward so he wouldnt have to fight him. He tried to manipulate Ward into thinking that just because their friends, they shouldnt fight. Hopkins has been making it CRYSTAL CLEAR that he will NEVER fight Ward. NEVER!!!

Lol at three years! Dawson had 18 fans and there was no value in a Dawson fight who was stuck fighting rematches for a couple of years I remind you. Further, Hopkins DID fight him, if he wanted to he could have forfeited the belt and fought someone else which happens all the time in boxing, yet Hopkins has never once in his entire career dropped a title to pass on a challenger...never.

And yes if Ward was at 175 I think its clear Hopkins would fight him if he was the lineal champ and/or his mandatory. Check bhops history - again he has never ducked a mandatory and always goes after the title holders.

You can try to discredit the 48 year old living legend all you want but it's clear as day he ducks no man. IBFdoesn't really mean **** to Hopkins at age 48 ,he could easily drop his title and choose not to fight Kovalev and no one would trip. But he's taking the challenge because thats what he does unlike many of the current stars.

Because Hopkins needed the belt. Their the ones who forced him into the fight for the rematch. The first fight, Hopkins kept complaining that Chad was a "small draw". Then Dawson loses to Pascal and had a step aside contract so Bhop could fight Pascal, and Hoppa could fight the winner. Hopkins plan was to fake an injury to get out of the fight, and the governing body forced the rematch.

Hopkins fights shorter, smaller, square bum fighters like Pascal and Cloud or Pavlick. He wont fight a fighter with some skills. Thats the reason he ducked Chad, because he doesnt square up. Thats the reason he has been trying to talk Ward into believing that they shouldnt fight because their friends. He even tried to tell Ward for the 100th time, after his fight with Cloud, that he would never fight him. But Ward is too smart for that, he already said he was willing to fight Bhop, then Bhop came out calling GGG's little azz out for a fight. Same o'l Bhop.

Bhop is Bhop. He picks and chooses fighters that he can outbox. He isnt a brave warrior. I dont know who started those brave Warrior rumors! LOL
