Good post, its strange to me how people can give out credit to James Toney for what he is doin at heavyweight at the moment(which he deserves),but not acknowledge what Byrd has done.

In terms of accomplishments, Byrd has the best record and deserves to be ranked as the number one heavyweight!

I dont think that he is the top guy out there by any means, but until he is defeated he should be ranked as the number1 heavyweight imo.

I think Byrd beats Toney, too good around the ring.

If you box on the move you frustrate James, I just see Byrd beating him.

He lost 2 of his last 4 fights!
What has he done in the last 4-5 years to be considered the best?
He got 2 gifts, and HARDLY beat McCline....who Brock dominated...

You can't bring up what he has done 5 years ago...
With your logic....Muhammad Ali is the best heavyweight today...

His record and the quality of his recent oppositon is the best among all the HWs that are active, while clearly he is very vulnerable and will most certainly be beaten by WLad in the rematch, he has the best resume. For these reasons I rank him no. 1.

I think that he beat Golota and McCline both, not convincingly, but on my cards he won.

                  peace
