Comments Thread For: Judah Likely Back in The Fall, Not Against Peterson

Zab Judah is targeting a fall return, likely September or October, with a fight against a top junior welterweight the goal.

The former undisputed welterweight champion has been linked to possible bouts against Mike Alvarado and Lamont Peterson, but a source with knowledge of the talks for both fights says that Peterson doesn't have much interest in the matchup. Maxboxing's Steve Kim first reported that the proposed Judah-Peterson bout wasn't gaining traction.

Judah (42-8, 29 KOs) is coming off a loss to Danny Garcia in a spirited effort.

As good as he looked those last few rounds in the Garcia bout I can't blame Peterson for not wanting to fight him lol. He still has a few good fights left in the tank if he can manage to not get KTFO

Correct me if I am wrong, but isn't Alvarado a Top Rank fighter and Zab Judah is with Golden Boy?

        Wtf

Come on ple, Judah last all twelve against Lucas, I thought judah lost but he still lasted the twelve rounds and Lucas blasted Peterson easily, so I think Judah would decision Peterson no problem, and ko Alvarado but that fight would not happen cause of u know GBP and top tank beef (****** **** imop)

I am pretty certain Judah isn't with either, he is free to fight whoever.

Alvarado would knock zab out but peterson thats a good fight for judah he could win that one.
An peterson actin like he gets to pick or hes too good for zab???!!!!!
Zab just went toe to toe with the best in that division an peterson just got k.oed by the number two so stop actin lik a b**ch peterson!!!!!!

That is very weak reasoning for two reasons: 1) triangle theories don't work in boxing. 2) Matthysse is a MUCH better fighter now than he was when he fought Judah the first time. I would love to see a Matthysse-Judah rematch because it wouldn't be close this time.
And for the record, Peterson wins a clear decision over Judah. There is a reason Judah isn't interested in that fight.

We all know who the top fighter at 140 pounds is, and his name isn't Danny Garcia.

Nope, Super Judah Promotions (usually Main Events or whomever the bigger promoter is for the event).

Judah should fight peterson on the undercard of garcia matthysse but because gbp gunna protect garcia, they gunna give matthysse a rematch with judah. Garcia gunna hide forever
