This fight is ripe right now for the making. There is nobody of notice or available for any of those two guys to fight if it is not each other.

On the other hand, neither Maidana nor Matthysse want to fight each oter, so its not nearly as interesting, at least to me its not. Then, you have to take into account that Garcia has the other half of Matthysse belt, while Maidana wouldnt be a title fight.

I'm not saying its not a good fight, it would be, especially with two tought, hard punchers. But the Matthysse-Garcia fight is pure gravy.

If Matthysee/Maidana happened and Lucas lost if the fight took at a higher weight it wouldn't take away too much from the Matthysse/Garcia fight.

But IMO the fight that has to happen now is Garcia/Matthysse.
