    Oscar Valdez

Keep an eye out for Oscar Valdez! Valdez is the first guy to ever represent Mexico in two Olympics for boxing.

Good fighter no doubt very skilled. But, he needs to work on bringing back his hands just as fast as he throws them. Seems like he leaves his punchs out extended a bit too long, not good when you going up against a counter puncher, inside fighter or skilled boxer. He has a lot of skills but i still wouldn't rush him. I remember him in the Olympics very close fight (his last fight at Olympics) best fight i've seen in the Olympic games.

His head/body movement remind me of Chavez Sr.

Valdez slips punches pretty good, but would like to see him counter and work them down that way, he has the skills, in due time he'll get it together.

Watched him during the Olympics, had a good tussle with John Joe Nevin in his last fight, very high quality bout. Hope he does well, he looks good.

Valdez looks to be good inside fighter, shows some nice defensive moves on the inside, nice sense of distance, almost always within range.
