Far from the same. Robert was a good fighter but Mikey has something else. His counter punching style and patience is something that Robert didn't have at this level.
Mikey Garcia is better, but let me say this, Robert's inside game was better, Robert also had the faster hands but that's about it. Faster hands ain't everything when Mikey's timing and accuracy is that good. Mikey hasn't really shown that he can fight on the inside but than again, he hasn't needed to. Even then, he's surrounded with all the right people to teach him how to tangle in close.

Heres another creation by Mr. Bob Arum sure he's gotten some fights go his way because of Arum but so have some other of Arum fighters. He was guided slowly, allowed to build and had very good sparring in his gym to build him.
I think Micky hits harder than Robert, but Robert was more fighter than Micky. Robert wouldn't be timid to slug it out with you and both seem to have a good chin. Robert was an under rated boxer, but he came from La Colonia gym and fighting is the only way you survived. Micky likes to box a lot more is more patient, surely he learned from his brothers fighting careers and growing up around Vargas. If they fought prime for prime i'd take Robert over Micky, they both would probably slow down after 6 rounds but Robert would slowly rough up Micky and use his boxing skills to stay with Micky on outside if he had to.
One similarity is that they both have bad stamina problems. Robert could beat every fighter he fought for the first 5-6 rounds than he would slowly fall apart. I think Micky might have the same problems as he was slowing down when he fought for the title.
