HBO Helped Juanma Killed His Career

Juanma killed his own career by not listening to his co-patriot Wilfredo Vasquez Jr. who said he needed new trainer and attitude. He also was foolish to fight Salido without Vada testing. No conspiracy here, Salido did test positive before against Guerrero.

The fact remains Juanma has a suspect chin and his aggressive style with poor balance will make him a KO risk with the top boxers. At this point, even a new trainer may not savage his career.

nahhh, I disagree here. Yea he tested positive b4 but Salido did go to PR and was supposed a fight that Lopez was going to win. No controversy here.f

When he couldn't dodge an overhand right, that pretty much sealed it for me. It's embarrassing how he doesn't bend his knees and duck under shots, even Roy Jones saw that he took right hands flush tonight because he squares up to them.

I agree with this^^,I really like JML the dude is all Warrior..Having said that,I really wish he'd retire..I hate to see him suffer any long term damage from some of these wars he's been in..

I think voodoo priest Mtagwa ruined him. Prior to fighting him, Lopez was steamrolling everyone, after fighting him, he gets knocked down hard by Concepcion, rocked by career bantamweight Rafa Marquez, and THEN loses to Salido. Lopez was basically out on his feet vs Mtagwa and had to dig real deep to win that fight.

JuanMa was actually knocked out by Mtagwa.........just because the ref allowed JuanMa to be brutally punished does not mean Juanma's Neurological system survived without being KO'd. His body knows he was brutalized and from there, things got worse and worse. Hell of a fighter but his deficiencies left him open for damaging shots that caught up to him. At 30, he is washed up. It was written all over his body language tonight. Would have been nice to see him put out one last great fight but it wasn't there. His body just cannot follow through with the will of his heart. One is detached from the other.

By showing clips of Garcia throwing up and looking draines it killed any excuse Juanma could have used. Just by looking at that telecast Juanma got beat by a drained fighter who bust his ass of to make the weight.
