They can give Garcia up to a year to fight Matthysse or simply strip him of the title. We saw how they stripped Sergio and gave it to Sebastian Zbik. WBC is known for stripping when fighters are ducking as Rid**** Bowe-Lennox Lewis about 20 years ago. WBC has stripped more guys than a Rikers Island correctional officer.

They need to put Garcia on the spot, than we will see if GBP will have their fighter duck. However, the politics of GBP and WBC being cozy may prevent the WBC from doing such a ballsy move.

LOL yea they often remake the rules. If a guy gets injured or if they move up in weight they can extend that 6-month period. Some sanctioning bodies would even declare a champion in 'recess.' This what the WBC did with Bradley when he moved up to WW and failed to defend his title, eventually Morales go the JR WW title when he fought Cano.

However, i do think Garcia-Matthysse will go down.

12 weeks is 3 months. Training camps are only 2 months. There's plenty of time.
