I'm sure the roy probably used steroids in some parts of his career, but this statement is slightly more complex than you think.
You see, roy fought at 175, he's not naturally that weight, meaning in training he depletes alot of his muscle. After going through that depleting, your body rapidly absorbs anything you give it to make up for what you lost, AND stores more incase it happens again (evolutional survival gene).

When roy was at heavy, he was not solid, he was not fat, but he wasn't solid muscle either.

Most likely, his muscles were filled with a lot of nutritional fluid (also known as "water weight")since he fed himself more and didn't deplete them in training. Roy's goal was to gain muscle.

To do that, you have to eat and eat and eat, which he did, and it filled his muscles up with nutrition, not just new muscle. Therefore, it's quite easy to gain 20lbs in that time since roy was used to killing his body in training

roy tested positive for nasal spray in the hall fight, hall tested positive for something as well.

i know its hard to gain that much muscle in that time without drugs but there are legal supplements that you can buy over the counter that may help. roy never tested positive after the ruiz fight, why bring that up?

BTW Hall tested postive too.... are you ****ing kidding me. did you read the article?

It talks about that **** in there. do you think you are bringing something new up. Why don't you read an entire article before you comment on it douche bag.

And because Roy says he tested postitive for nose spray does that mean it was nose spray? How ****ing ****** are you. Did you think Roy wouldn't have an excuse. And even if it went up his nose, do you think that means it can't help his preformance.

Does ******* do nothing because it goes up your nose? The article makes a good point that Roys rise and fall was perfectly timed with the rise and fall of Balco Labs, which he has connections with.

But I guess that's all nose spray too right?

He is one of the greatest athletes in the history of sports, and is still arguably one of the best light-heavyweights in the world right now.

There is just no need for such disrespectful rumours to be perpetuated.

                  There are only 3 possibilities:

                  A) Boxers aren't on steroids because testing, though not perfect, is enough to deter boxers from risking multi-million dollar paydays.

                  B) All boxers are on steroids. Testing is too far behind to catch anybody. In which case any advantage to be gained is negated.

                  or

                  C) Only Pacquiao is getting away with it because he has special steroids that nobody else has.

or D) There are just naturally gifted boxers out there that defines them among the rest, they're called ATGs.
