What if Zahir Raheem had KO Moralis instead of systematicly given him a beat down. What if it had been enfatic a KO that asked did that just happen and if so what would the future bring. Unforyunetly for Raheem he is a boxer and only a boxer. He is a good one but does not posses the suger smooth glide and almost gumby like quality of pure boxers who have become elite fighter. Pernell Whitaker was a great champ that did not pack a punch but was a dancer in the ring mesmerizing oppents and the public a like. Raheem does not posses this kinda of boxing mestique, and he does not have the power to put asses in seats. We as boxing finds might miss a very good boxer who is a victem of cercumstance. For those aspireing to box do your best to have two attributes a big punch and a solid chin thats how you get paid in this buisness. Granted many fighters posses other attributes that make them successful: heart, training, nevrves of steel, but look at some big names in the sport, Mayorga, Peter, both show a serious lack of skill but both have chins and power. Yes Mayorga got KO'ed by Trinidad but he took a beating that most men with good chins would not have been able to deal with and he went rounds with Trinidad. Not that this weekends fight should not go on it should two elite fighters facing each other. All we have to do is look at Manny's vitory over MAB, big underdog not well known and puts the smack down. Granted many was a world champ already but I am sure manny of you remeber hearing Raheems name even before the Juarez fight about as much as Pac was known before his Tv fight with Lecerno. Raheem deserves a chance in a good money fight to prove himself. He should and deserves a title shot in his next fight. If he looses in said fight them make all the speculations you want but remember Raheem in a way did what Manny did beat a guy he wasn't supposed to. One big diffrence Manny is a fighter and a warrior, Raheem is a slick boxer which would you rather see.
Is being a boxer in boxing bad for buisness

so to bring up pernell agian how did he make it being feather fisted. Also remember many people felt that Raheem won the Juarez fight. So how does a feather fisted boxer become a Pernell concidering Moralis would have been a top notch fight for Pernell. I do not have an answer for that personally.Originally posted by 2_piece_combosIf he has no power, yes.Comment

Well, the misconception is that Sweet Pea had no pop. In fact, it's actually one of the reasons his opponents underestimated him no much. However, Pea could punch a bit when he chose to sit down on his punches. But, his MO was to outbox you, make you look bad. And though we all should have marveled at the sweet science, Whitaker made for boring fights (usually because the crowd's favorite was getting his ass kicked), according to the mainstream. The true boxing fans know him, and know he is one the greatest lightweights ever.Originally posted by AREALFIGHTERso to bring up pernell agian how did he make it being feather fisted.
