He'll have to change my mind.

    Maidana by stoppage.
    What he said i agree

i have no confidence in provodnikov's face holding up to that type of punishment. marcos has disfigured almost everybody besides alexander with that power.

I think Maidana via KO. Provo is too easy to hit and doesn't have a high enough workrate like a Karass to bother Marcos. Provo will land some big shots and will stun MM.

        But it won't be enough.

Prov is a tough customer, but Maidana is tougher.

Promotional and network feuds would prevent this from happening, but in a fantasy matchup, Maidana grits it out.

Bradley is a certified p4p fighter and Provo nearly killed him. Who has maidana beat really? I like maidana and he certainly has the better official wins but it would be a real close fight.

Both men show huge vulnerabilities but I would give Provo an edge just because of what he did to Bradley. I've seen Maidana hurt against Khan, Alexander, and most recently, Josesito Lopez. I think Provo would be able to hurt him as well but also capitalize on it.

It's a fight i'd love to see, a 50/50 fight IMO. Im slighty leaning towards Provodnikov.

I didn't watch the Alexander fight, was Maidana hurt to the head or the body? It seemed to be bodyshots which bothered him against Khan and Lopez.

Really good fight, a tough call. Provodnikov was very lightly regarded before the Bradley fight but he really showed us all that he has a solid chin, guts, and a pretty serious dig. With all that said, I gotta go for Maidana mainly because of his pedigree and experience.

I think it goes the distance, brutal and hard fought with Maidana winning close.

hbo superior viewership speaks volumes. a lot of guys only have HBO apparently. Why else you would pick a relatively untested Provodnikov over Maidana is beyond me. Cuz he gave Bradley Hell? So what? Maidana would too. If Bradley fought Maidana with the "I gotta give a good show" stigma because of personal demons he has lingering from the Pac robbery, he would not only be put through Hell, he would be stopped. If he had fought Pac with the same mindset, he would have been stopped as well.

Back to the Prov match.. Name a guy Maidana has ****** with that he hasn't stopped? The only ones who beat him managed to outbox him. Prov would be ground down and stopped in the 8th or 9th.
