I've never been taught italian, don't know anyone who speaks it, but on occasion i can actually understand some of it. when a speaker isn't speaking fast as **** though. latin is the root of romance languages and all so i suppose if you speak one it probably wouldn't be that difficult to pick up if you work on it.

This guy clearly has a future as a commentator which is good. Its seems like there isn't any former elite level boxers who are commentators at the elite level. Possibly because all those punches have them sounding like mushmouth.

Unlike many boxers turn commentators Paulie is very impartial and has a lot of good insight. He can express himself very well. Impressive stuff from Paulie

I was kind of confused when it said he was going to be on there because I thought he'd be standing around smiling and nodding

I forgot which fight this was for but it was a "countdown" type of program and it showed Paulie speaking Italian- so to answer your question he is fluent.

Very impressive, I also had no idea Paulie spoke Spanish.

Big Fan of Paulie, I hope he does well against Broner. I am jealous of Paulie because I am half Mexican and can't speak the language. ... I agree with everyone on here that believes that he is a good commentator on Showtime. Paulie is impartial unlike RJJ and sees the smaller things that most overlook during a fight and can explain it to the viewers well.

Why do people think it's so impressive that he can speak spanish?? It's not that difficlut to pick up spanish when you're already fluent in italian. Good for him that he took some time to learn spanish but I wouldn't call it impressive. Paulie is a good dude though and has a bright future when he retires from boxing.
